Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Gotong, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Gotong reserves the right to update these terms with reasonable notice.
2. Platform Role
Gotong is a marketplace platform connecting buyers and service providers. Gotong is not a party to service contracts between buyers and providers. Gotong facilitates payment and dispute resolution but is not responsible for the quality of services delivered.
3. Escrow and Payments
Payments are processed via Stripe Payments (SG rails) and held by Stripe Connect (SG marketplace) until milestone approval. Gotong does not hold buyer funds directly. Payout to providers occurs upon buyer approval of milestones or dispute resolution.
4. Provider Obligations
Providers must complete identity verification before receiving payouts. Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their profile information and the quality of services delivered under agreed milestones.
5. Buyer Obligations
Buyers must provide clear project requirements and approve or reject milestone submissions within a reasonable time. Unreasonable withholding of approval may result in automatic release of held funds.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not circumvent the platform to transact off-platform, post fraudulent or misleading content, or engage in harassment. Violations may result in account suspension.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
